Product Description:
The Intimus 20000G is an NSA listed hard drive degausser for the sanitization of classified and top secret magnetic media. It has been evaluated by the NSA and is listed on the current NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List (EPL) for magnetic degaussers. The unit produces a 20,000 gauss (2 Tesla) magnetic field and is used by government agencies, defense contractors, and organizations that follow NSA data destruction standards.
- NSA evaluated and listed on the NSA/CSS EPL
- Reverse Polarity: a 20,000 gauss positive pulse followed by a 20,000 gauss negative pulse in each cycle
- DIN 66399 security level H-7
- Top feed slot with automatic ejection through the bottom chute
- 45 to 60 second cycle with continuous duty operation, 60 to 80 drives per hour
- LCD field strength indicator and digital cycle counter
NSA policy requires classified hard drives to be degaussed in an EPL listed degausser and then physically destroyed. The Department of Defense follows the same two-stage requirement. The 20000G covers the degaussing step, and the NSA listed Intimus Hybrid Hard Drive Crusher covers the destruction step.
The 20000G sanitizes longitudinal (LMR) and perpendicular (PMR) desktop, laptop/notebook, and server hard drives and computer tapes up to 1 x 4.3 x 6 inches. It also erases data in compliance with NIST, HIPAA, GLBA, FACTA, PCI DSS, GDPR, and PIPEDA. The unit runs on auto-sensing dual voltage from 90 to 240 VAC, weighs 128 lb, and is made in the United States. Custom-fitted field deployment cases are available.
