Product Description:

The Intimus 20000S is an NSA listed hard drive degausser that erases data from hard drives and magnetic tape using a 20,000 gauss (2 Tesla) magnetic field. It is listed on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List (EPL) and completes each degaussing cycle in 15 seconds.

  • Listed on the NSA/CSS EPL for hard drive and magnetic tape erasure
  • 20,000 gauss (2 Tesla) magnetic field with a capacitive discharge system
  • 15-second degaussing cycle
  • Throughput of up to 1,300 1.8-inch or 150 3.5-inch hard drives per hour
  • Degauss cycle starts automatically, allowing continuous operation
  • Optional Auditor-Pro system for media destruction reports

Media is placed in the drawer, and the degauss cycle starts automatically once the drawer is closed. Integrated magnetic field monitoring checks each cycle, and the LCD display shows the field strength in gauss. The unit is shielded to limit magnetic radiation to the surrounding area.

The optional Auditor-Pro system records the date, time, user ID, and media serial number for each drive and produces a proof-of-erasure certificate for audit records. The 20000S weighs 105 lb and can be paired with an Intimus hard drive crusher for physical destruction after degaussing.
