Product Description:

The Intimus 15000G is a high-volume hard drive degausser for organizations that erase large numbers of drives on site. Its 15,000 gauss (1.5 Tesla) minimum magnetic field, peaking at 17,000 gauss, erases data from hard drives and magnetic tape in a 3-second cycle.


  • 3-second degauss cycle with continuous duty operation
  • Erases up to 1,200 3.5-inch desktop drives or 4,800 2.5-inch laptop drives per hour
  • Meets DoD and DSS requirements for sanitizing unclassified government data; NATO listed device
  • Sanitizes longitudinal (LMR) and perpendicular (PMR) hard drives and computer tapes up to 1 x 4.3 x 6 inches
  • Accepts desktop, laptop/notebook, and server hard drives
  • Auto-sensing dual voltage, 90 to 240 VAC at 50 to 60 Hz

The 15000G is used by data centers, IT asset disposition (ITAD) providers, e-waste recyclers, and companies running hardware refresh projects that need to sanitize drives before they leave the building. It erases data in compliance with NIST, HIPAA, GLBA, FACTA, PCI DSS, GDPR, and PIPEDA.

The 1.5 Tesla field provides additional margin over the coercivity (magnetic resistance of drive media) of current high-capacity hard drives. The unit measures 12 x 12 x 20 inches, weighs 48 lb, and is made in the United States. Rugged field deployment cases are available.
